Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tom Fredrik King, trading as letmebuyyoulunch.io (ABN 25 928 986 939) (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operator of letmebuyyoulunch.io (the “Service”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who this policy applies to
The Service is used by two types of people:
- Account holders (“Hosts”) — people who create an account, set up a booking link, and use the Service to arrange meetings and offer rewards.
- Recipients (“Guests”) — people who receive a booking link, book a meeting, and may receive a reward.
This policy applies to both, and we note where specific sections apply to one or the other.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly. When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect information such as your name, email address, professional details (such as your role or company), profile information, and any content you choose to add to your account or booking page.
Booking and scheduling information. When a Guest books a meeting, we collect information necessary to arrange it, such as the selected time, the participants, and related scheduling details.
Payment and funding information. To operate the Service, Hosts provide information needed to fund the Service and any rewards. Payment details are processed and stored by our third-party payment providers, not by us directly. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
Reward information. Where the Service facilitates the delivery of a reward to a Guest, we collect and process the information needed to deliver it (such as the Guest’s email address and the reward selected).
Calendar and connected-service information. If a Host chooses to connect a third-party service (such as a calendar), we access only the information needed to provide the relevant feature (for example, availability information to prevent double-booking). We access this information in accordance with the permissions you grant and the terms of the connected service. You can disconnect a connected service at any time.
Communications. If you contact us, we keep a record of that correspondence.
Automatically collected information. When you use the Service, we may automatically collect technical information such as your device and browser type, IP address, usage data, and similar information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Create and manage accounts, booking links, and bookings;
- Facilitate meetings between Hosts and Guests;
- Process funding and facilitate the delivery of rewards;
- Communicate with you about your account, bookings, and the Service, including transactional messages such as confirmations and notifications;
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- Monitor, analyze, and improve the Service, including its security, reliability, and performance;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we share information
We share information only as necessary to operate the Service or as described below:
- Between Hosts and Guests. To facilitate a booking, certain information is shared between the Host and Guest (for example, a Host’s name and profile information are shown to a Guest on the booking page, and a Guest’s booking details are shared with the Host).
- Service providers. We share information with third parties who provide services that help us operate, including payment processing, reward delivery, hosting and infrastructure, authentication, email delivery, calendar connectivity, and analytics. These providers process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only for that purpose.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others, or enforce our terms.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
5. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, for payments, reward delivery, authentication, and connected services such as calendars). Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party’s own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion of your account and associated information as described in Section 9.
7. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at tom@letmebuyyoulunch.io. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. You may also update much of your account information directly within the Service, and you can disconnect connected services or request account deletion at any time.
10. International data transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer information internationally, we take steps to ensure it is treated in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
11. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for use by adults in a professional context and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
